Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare leadership. During the past 18 years as the Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association (PHA), he played a major role in improving the healthcare sector and the quality of healthcare services in Jordan. And his efforts, led the PHA to achieve the “Best Practice” certificate twice and the “Seal of Excellence” by the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence.

He presents Jordan’s Success Story as a healthcare destination in a lot of healthcare travel conferences and forums internationally.  As a result of his efforts, in 2023 the UNWTO declared “Jordan as a Regional Hub for Medical Tourism” in addition to the IMTJ award “Jordan as the best medical tourism destination”.

Dr. Al-Hammouri was ranked from the top 100 healthcare leaders for the year 2023 by Forbes Middle East. In addition, he was awarded “The Man of Achievements for the year 2023” by Palestine International Institute. And in 2020, he was awarded by the Arab Hospitals Federation “Healthcare Personality of the Year”.

Dr. Al-Hammouri was the president of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) from 2015 until 2017. He is one of the founding members and he is now the honorary president of GHTC.

He was elected as a member in the governing council of the International Hospitals Federation (IHF) representing Jordan since 2020.
