GHTF 2024 Was Held In TRNC With The Participation Of More Than 300 Delegates From 50 Countries

The 6th Global Healthcare Travel Forum and Conference (GHTF2024, North Cyprus) was hosted this year by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which chaired the Global Healthcare Travel Council in the 2023-24 (April) period, with the participation of the TRNC President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Tourism Culture Minister of Youth and Environment, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, GHTC Founding President, delegates who have chaired and managed the Global Healthcare Travel Council, presidents and managers of authorized associations in the field of health, tourism and education from TRNC and Türkiye, and more than 300 guests from 50 countries.

25 main speakers attended the forum sessions where the topics of the Future of Global Health Tourism, Health and Sustainable Development Goals, Travel for Health, Health Services and Climate Change, Health Services and Technologies, Wellness and Wellbeing, Health Tourism and Advanced Active Living were discussed throughout the conference sessions. More than 150 articles co-authored by more than 500 researchers were presented, 22 of which were presented by distinguished keynote speakers. Within the scope of GHTF 2024, exhibitions and B2B meetings were also held with the participation of companies from the fields of health and health tourism.

25 Keynote Speakers Were Included In GHTF 2024 Forum Sessions

Hosted by the country that chairs the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) every year, the 6th Global Healthcare Travel Forum (GHTF2024), which brought together industry leaders, academics, health and tourism professionals and policy makers, was held this year with the addition of a new conference section. It was held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with the participation of more than 300 delegates from 50 countries.

The organization was attended by the President of the TRNC, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Finance, the Founding President of GHTC, delegates who chaired and managed the Global Healthcare Travel Council, and representatives from the TRNC and Türkiye in the fields of health, tourism and education, presidents and managers of authorized unions and more than 300 delegates from 50 countries.

GHTC Flag Handover Ceremony

The 6th Global Healthcare Travel Forum and Conference (6th) was hosted by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), which assumed the term presidency of the 56 member countries of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) in 2024-26 (April). The new term president was determined at the General Assembly held within the scope of the Global Healthcare Travel Forum and Conference (GHTF2024).

Moldova won the election, through which Germany, the Saudi Arabia and Moldova competed for the presidency and  held with the participation of delegates from member countries of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC). In the ceremony held after the election, TRNC Deputy Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, who served as the term President on behalf of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in the 2023-24 (April) period, handed over the flag to the new term president, Dr. Natalia Ciobanu from  Moldova.

Many New Cooperation Agreements Were Signed At GHTF 2024 North Cyprus B2B Meetings

The 6th Global Healthcare Travel Forum and Conference brought together more than 300 delegates from 50 countries with the theme of “Innovation and Cooperation in Global Health Tourism” with the aim of producing innovative solutions to the challenges experienced in the Health Tourism sector, supporting sustainable development and creating a strong synergy for the future of the sector.

(GHTF2024, North Cyprus) was hosted by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus this year. Many health and health tourism organizations participated in the exhibition, which was held within the scope of GHFT 2024 and attracted great attention. In the B2B meetings held within the scope of the Exhibition, managers of organizations providing health and health tourism services from Türkiye and Northern Cyprus came together with health tourism professionals from different geographies of the world, especially from GHTC member countries, and signed many mutual cooperation agreements.

TRNC President Tatar Hold A Reception In Honor Of GHTF 2024 Delegates

Hosted by the country that chairs the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) every year, the 6th Global Healthcare Travel Forum (GHTF2024), which brings together industry leaders, academics, health and tourism professionals and policy makers, was held this year with the addition of a new conference section. It was held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with the participation of more than 300 delegates from 50 countries. TRNC President Ersin Tatar held a reception in the Presidential Garden in honor of the delegates who came to Northern Cyprus within the scope of GHTF 2024.
